چکیده

Environmental pollution due to hazardous waste in Karangdawa, Margasari, Tegal has an impact on soil and groundwater quality. Lead found the exceeds permissible standards. It is necessary recover from because it can enter food crops accumulate human body. Phytoremediation commonly used land remediation it’s economical doesn’t cause secondary environmental problems. One of ways optimize by using chelating agents. The purpose study was analyze ability Vetiver zizanoides most optimum dose variation Citric acid uptake plant. as metal chelators Pb investigated for 28 days with doses 0.5 g/kg, 1 2 g/kg. Analysis concentration roots, stems, AAS. From results study, able survive exposure up 4979.8 ppm. Application g/kg soil, increased bioconcentration, bioaccumulation compared control plants. indicated that addition a agent could increase function phytoremediation agent.

Effect of citric acid chelating agent on morphology of ZnO particles prepared by hydrothermal method

Abstract Zinc oxide is one of the most widely used and important materials in today's science and industry. In this study, ZnO nanoparticles were synthesized by hydrothermal method. Zinc acetate, citric acid and deionized water was respectively used as a source of zinc ion, solvent and chelating agent. In this study, the effect of citric acid concentration as an additive was studied on morphol...

Phytoremediation of heavy metal-contaminated land by trees--a review.

This paper reviews the potential for using trees for the phytoremediation of heavy metal-contaminated land. It considers the following aspects: metal tolerance in trees, heavy metal uptake by trees grown on contaminated substrates, heavy metal compartmentalisation within trees, phytoremediation using trees and the phytoremediation potential of willow (Salix spp.).

Clinical evaluation of a lead mobilization test using the chelating agent dimercaptosuccinic acid.

BACKGROUND The lead mobilization test reflects the mobilizable and likely toxicologically active fraction of the lead body burden. We propose a safe and convenient protocol for this test, to assess concomitant copper and zinc excretion and to determine the size of the chelatable lead pool in nonoccupationally exposed adults. METHODS The study population included 80 white adults: 40 controls [...

EDTA-enhanced phytoremediation of lead contaminated soil by Bidens maximowicziana.

Phytoremediation is a potential cleanup technology for the removal of heavy metals from contaminated soils. Bidens maximowicziana is a new Pb hyperaccumulator, which not only has remarkable tolerance to Pb but also extraordinary accumulation capacity for Pb. The maximum Pb concentration was 1509.3 mg/kg in roots and 2164.7 mg/kg in overground tissues. The Pb distribution order in the B. maximow...

Removal of Lead from Contaminated Soils with Chelating Agents

The biodegradable chelating agents [S,S]-ethylenediaminedisuccinic acid (EDDS), citric acid and the low biodegradable chelating agent ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) were investigated for their applicability for the removal of lead from soil by soil washing and electrokinetic processing. In the soil washing tests at 298K, the removal efficiency of lead with EDDS and EDTA was high in the ...
